The GanFarm Market Module allows producers to access current livestock prices, analyze the historical market evolution, and estimate the economic value of their herd using real data from their own establishment.

Currently available for Uruguay, the module integrates market information with the registered animal stock in GanFarm, providing a clear, reliable, and practical view of the livestock business.

🌎 What is the Market Module?

The Market Module was designed to bring key economic information to producers, without technical jargon or complex spreadsheets.

From a single place, producers can:

  • Consult current livestock prices by category

  • Analyze the price evolution over time

  • See how those prices impact the total value of their herd

  • Make business decisions with real and updated data

All of this is presented in a visual, simple, and understandable manner, designed for daily use in the field or office.

💰 Current Livestock Prices

The module displays the current average prices of livestock, organized by category, such as:

  • Steer

  • Cow

  • Heifer

  • Lambs

  • Sheep

Each price is presented clearly, indicating:

  • Value per kilo

  • Type of reference

  • Validity period

This allows producers to have a quick and reliable reference of the market, without needing to consult multiple external sources.

📈 Historical Price Evolution

In addition to the current price, the module allows users to visualize the evolution of livestock prices over the past years through simple and interactive graphs.

With this information, producers can:

  • Analyze market trends

  • Compare values between categories

  • Understand cycles of increase and decrease

  • Evaluate opportune moments to sell or retain animals

The graphs are designed to be easy to interpret, even for users without technical or financial experience.

🐄 Herd Valuation

One of the most valuable aspects of the module is the Herd Valuation.

GanFarm automatically combines:

  • The current market prices

  • The actual animal stock of the establishment

  • The livestock categories

  • Configurable weights and reference parameters

With this information, the system calculates:

  • Total number of animals

  • Estimated total value of the herd

  • Average value per head

  • Value by category

This allows producers to know how much their herd is worth today, with a realistic estimate based on concrete data.

⚙️ Adjustable Parameters by the Producer

Producers can adjust various values to tailor the valuation to their productive reality, such as:

  • Average weights by category

  • Productivity percentages

  • Price reference dates

Each time these parameters are modified, the system automatically recalculates the values, allowing for the simulation of different market scenarios.

📊 Clear and Detailed Results

The module presents results at different levels:

  • Overall totals of the herd

  • Breakdown by category

  • Details of animals included in each group

All information is displayed in clear tables and visual summaries, designed to facilitate reading and decision-making.

📥 Export and Practical Use

Market and valuation reports can:

  • Be exported in Excel or PDF

  • Be used for internal analysis

  • Be shared with partners, accountants, or advisors

This makes the module a useful tool not only for the producer but also for the financial and strategic management of the establishment.
